Weld Defect segmentation from Radiographic Images using Mumford-Shah Level set Formulation
The limitations of the active contour based on borders have directed the research towards solutions where the contour is built from all the information contained in the image. They are known as region-based active contours. More robust to the noise and less sensitive to the position of the initial curve, the models based on regions have for general principle to develop a curve so that in the convergence, we realize a partition of the image in two homogeneous regions. We obtaintwo regions because a single curve bounds only two domains in image. The region-based active contours base generally on statistical.

Non destructive testing by x-ray tomography
We present in this paper, two analytical methods of non-destructive testing for the reconstruction of 2D tomography X-ray. First; we present a simple method based on the projection of Radon transform. The second method is a filtered back projection based on the theorem of central cut . A comparison study is achieved between these two methods. Voir les détails

Reconstruction d'image à rayon X à partir de nombre de projection limitée
Dans ce travail, nous présentons l’application des algorithmes basés sur les méthodes algébriques et analytiques, de reconstruction d’image en tomographie à rayon X. Ainsi, les algorithmes de FBP, Jacobi et Gauss-Seidel et Moindre Carré sont implémentés et appliqués à des images synthétiques contenant plusieurs objets et des images réels obtenues par un tomographe à Rayon X. Efficient Detection Criteria for Model Order Selection of Interferometric SAR signal corrupted by multiplicative noise with a new penalty function
In this paper the problem of estimating the number of components in a multibaseline interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) signal, corrupted by complex correlated multiplicative noise in the presence of the layover phenomenon, is addressed. Research tasks were carried out by using the information theoretic criteria (ITC). It has been shown that among the ITC, one of the efficient detection criteria (EDC) achieves generally the best performance. We propose then a new penalty function for EDC.

Fuzzy Edge Detection In Computed Tomography Through Particle Swarm Optimization
In this paper, we propose a new approach using particle swarm optimization (PSO) for image reconstructions, in which we use the fuzzy inference penalty instead of the Bayesian inference penalty, and particle swarm optimization instead of local method of optimization. We saw that the PSO algorithm just work on the behavior of the individual to reach the best result of the population. Voir les détails

Parameters estimation using cuckoo search algorithm of harmonic signals in additive and multiplicative noise
In this study we present a novel approach to estimate harmonics in multiplicative and additive noise using Cuckoo search algorithm. The estimation of parameters is formulated as a nonlinear optimization problem and simulations are carried out to assess the performance of the proposed algorithm. Voir les détails

Step down Converter with Sliding mode Current Control for Welding Applications
The present paper deals with a buck converter used to control the current during a welding process. The arc is modeled by a variable resistance in series and switcher to create a short circuit. The step-down dc-dc converter is connected to the output of a step down transformer witch present the powersource and it controls the energy flux to the welding process.A sliding mode current control was implemented to guarantee a constant average current during, the arc generation. The main power circuit is a buck converter that uses a high power IGBT module as the main switch. The freewheel path is made up of three parallel diodes .The buck converter was designed for a loadcurrent up to 100A Voir les détails

In this work, we express an approach contributing to the modeling of n-phase induction machine, applied in the field of electric arc welding. This approach is based on a vector formalism, whose goal is to diagonalize the matrices inductors in Hermitian and Euclidean spaces. This diagonalization allows us to decouple magnetically phases of the machine. The objective therefore is to find a simple and general mathematical model for all polyphase induction machines Voir les détails
