CORROSION INHIBITION OF CARBONE STEEL IN ACIDIC SOLUTION BY A GREEN INHIBITOR

Résumé : 

The plant extract as a corrosion inhibitor in 1M HCl was investigated by using electrochemical techniques. The inhibition ef?ciency of IVE was found to increase with increasing concentration. Polarization measurements revealed that the IVE acted as a mixed-type inhibitor. Nyquist plots showed that on increasing the IVE concentration, the charge-transfer resistance increased and double-layer capacitance decreased. Mechanism of corrosion inhibition of IVE on Carbone steel is explored with the help of SEM technique.
