Design of a Voltage Controller for a DC-DC Buck Converter Using Fractional-Order Terminal Sliding Mode Control Strategy
This paper suggests a fractional-order terminal sliding mode control (FO-TSMC) method for the output voltage regulation of a DC-DC buck converter influenced by disturbances, such as the variations of load resistance and input voltage. A this kind of a new fractional-order (FO) dynamic sliding surface is designed to avoid the drawback on integer-order (IO) terminal sliding mode control (IO-TSMC) method and guarantee the converter reach steady-state quickly without chattering even if it undergoes arbitrary random disturbances. The proposed FO-TSMC controller’s performance is compared against to both IO-TSMC and traditional SMC control approaches. Computer simulation results display that the novel FO-TSMC approach results in evenhanded output voltage regulation performance under widely input voltage variations and load changes. A Robust Adaptive Fuzzy Fast Terminal Synergetic Voltage Control Scheme for DC/DC Buck Converter
In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy fast terminal synergetic voltage control scheme for DC/DC buck converter is proposed based on recently developed synergetic theory and a terminal attractor method. The advantages of presented synergetic control include the characteristics of finite time convergence, insensitive to parameters variation and chattering free phenomena. Rendering the design more robust, fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the unknown parameters in the proposed controller without calling upon usual model linearization and simplifications. Taking the DC/DC buck converter in continuous conduction mode as an example, the algorithm of proposed synergetic control is analyzed in detail. All the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and the high dynamic capability of the proposed AF-FTSC control technique over the FTSC strategy.

TiO2 doped with nickel thin films Properties
Thin films of un-doped and Ni-doped TiO2 were synthesized by the sol–gel dip-coating technique and deposited on glass substrates, for different annealing temperatures (from 400 °C to 500 °C). The X-rays diffraction and Raman show the formation of anatase phase, we also notice that doping with Ni influence the intensity of anatase peaks and decreases of grain sizes (from 24.3 to 15.23 nm). The nanostructure Ni-doped TiO2 thin films was observed AFM, which shows that the elaborated films are smooth and dense with Rms values of about 3 nm. The calculate values of refractive index of thin films increases from 2.22 to 2.38, and reduction in transmittance and band gap with the increase in the nickel concentration. Vibrating sample magnetometer results of un-doped TiO2 thin films reveal a ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature with Ms = 0.67 10-4 emu and low content of nickel doping leads to an enhancement of the saturated magnetic moment Ms =1.11 10-3 emu. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AE PARAMETERS AND FRACTURE OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS UNDER SOLICITATIONS
Abstract: Acoustic emission (AE) techniques have been extensively studied in concrete engineering. There has been much research in relating AE parameters, such as energy, amplitude, count number, rise time to physical properties such as crack area delaminating, pull out, break down. Our work is performed using of carbon fiber reinforced polymer to study the evolution of AE parameters under solicitations. Meanwhile the waveforms created by the failure were monitored by AE sensors attached to the concrete beam.Examination of the waveforms produced by a range of four sensors with different frequency responses reveals that the fracture depth affects the AE parameters detected during failure. Relationship between fracture area and AE parameters was examined. These results can be used to aid the quantification of damage size based on energy release from concrete structures in the field.
